Back in 2005, I received my first American Bulldog, Zoe, as a gift from my parents, Chuck and Arlene Birt. At the time, they had purchased their breeding matriarch, Athena, a few months before. All of us fell in love with the breed and I was actively involved in the beginnings of Birt's American Bulldogs.  Soon after, I met my husband, Jared, who also shared a love for all animals, including American Bulldogs.

Once we moved to rural Placerville, we started our family with our daughter Hayden, who will be 5 in April 2012 and have our irish twins, Linken and Jaxon, born June 5, 2010 and June 4, 2011, respectively. Our animal menagerie also began to grow which now includes three horses, a miniature horse, two pigs, a goat, rabbits, rats, and a snake for good measure - all pets! We decided to branch out and start our own breeding program with Goldie (Birt's Golden Girl of Cornerstone) and Bailey (Birt's Bailey of Beast). In October 2009 we acquired Mize's Classic Shelby G.T. from Oklahoma and look forward to a breeding and show future.

Everyday we learn more and more about this wonderful breed and look forward to sharing our knowledge.

We can't wait to attend more shows and gain more experience in the ring.
